I choose work by the change it can create.
I am thoughtful about the roles I choose. Beyond the technical challenge, I look for teams building products that genuinely help people—making work clearer, access easier, decisions smarter, or everyday experiences better.
My path has taken me from hardware and robotics through cloud platforms, product engineering, and applied AI. The constant has been the same: turn a fuzzy problem into a thoughtful, working experience—with the people affected by it in view from the start.
What success looks like to me
Close the loop between good intent and real impact.
I start by learning where the energy is: the people, product, and mission already carrying potential. Then I look for the breaks in the circuit—the unclear workflow, slow system, or missing connection keeping that potential from reaching the people who need it.
Thoughtful constraints keep the work grounded; collaboration closes the switch. When the circuit is complete, the result is a brighter product, a more capable team, and momentum that lasts after I leave.

How I approach the work
A few ideas I try to build by.
Choose the mission carefully.
A role is more than a title. I want the team, product, and direction to be something I can stand behind.
Build in the open.
The strongest ideas grow through collaboration, shared context, and room for people to bring a better question.
Lead by example.
Set the tone through care, follow-through, and the willingness to do the unglamorous work that helps others succeed.
Treat people with care.
Be direct, generous, and respectful—the same way I hope to be treated when the work gets difficult.
Do no harm.
Engineers should help people, not chase profit at their expense. The tradeoffs we make deserve real attention.
The person behind the systems
Curiosity is a practice, not a personality trait.
Japanese language study and travel keep my perspective wider than the systems I build. They remind me to pay attention to culture, communication, and the small details that shape an experience. I do my best work in remote, collaborative environments where ideas can move freely and teams are trusted to create, not just execute.
